1) BREAKTHROUGH IN SOUTH TYROL
Finally, the struggle for direct democracy in the northern
region of Italy has been successful.
In October a new law will be introduced that enables the
right for initiative and referendum.

2) BERLIN: LAST GAP FILLED
After 4 years of struggle Berlins regional assembly introduced
the right of initiative and referendum in the cities districts.

3) SLOVAKIA: ILLEGAL RATIFICATION?
The Parliament has ratified, the presidents wants to sign… but
there is still a chance of achieving a referendum in Slovakia.
Europe might observe the first illegal ratification procedure.
