Andreas Müller
Andreas Müller studied Political and Social Sciences at the Universities of Würzburg and Marburg, specialising in democracy development and citizen participation. He has been part of Democracy International since 2014, initially coordinating projects on direct democracy and citizens’ engagement, before becoming Executive Director in 2017. With over a decade of experience in campaigning, organisational leadership, and democratic innovation, Andreas combines strategic vision with a collaborative leadership style that fosters participation—within the organisation and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Leading Democracy International’s strategic development and day-to-day operations
- Representing the organisation in international networks, partnerships, and public events
- Overseeing finances, budgeting, and resource development
- Managing staff and fostering a positive, collaborative work culture
- Strengthening Democracy International’s global network and promoting democratic participation worldwide
