Biography

Her academic background consist of a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies at the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona), equipping her with the knowledge to comprehend and tackle transnational issues beyond national borders like climate change, migration, war and violence, or structures of domination and injustice, from a transdisciplinary perspective with a global vision of the human being. Then, she recently finished her Master’s in Gender Studies – Intersectionality and Change by the Linköping University which gave her the skills and competences to analyse how social and cultural change can be initiated or sustained by integrating a critical understanding of social categorisations and intersectionality. During her Master-level studies, she completed two research theses: one on creating a critical template for analysis of rape myths and discourses in Spanish movies, and one accounting for the gender discourse at play in the European Parliament’s debates on prostitution.

Prior to Democracy International, she also gathered experience by being part of Espurna Feminista, a university feminist student assembly tackling discrimination in the university environment, as well as Lika, a feminist association in which she assisted with a project helping motivated students in public high schools to establish and run their own feminist assemblies and actions.
