Many of our actions wouldn’t be possible without financial support from the European Commission, European Parliament or Engagement Global/German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development under their citizen engagement programmes.

Since 2026, Democracy International is an official Framework Partner of the European Union under the CERV Programme (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values) for the period 2026–2028.
As part of this partnership, Democracy International receives institutional funding to strengthen its work on democracy, citizen participation, and European values.
The CERV Programme supports European networks, civil society organisations, and think tanks in promoting core EU values, including equality, non-discrimination, fundamental rights, and democratic participation.
As a Framework Partner, Democracy International works in cooperation with the EU to implement activities in advocacy, capacity building, networking, and public awareness, thereby contributing to a more open, democratic, and inclusive society in Europe.
