On how to spread the idea of direct democracy and how to achieve political change

“Never doubt that a small group of engaged people can change the world - indeed it is the only way the world has ever changed.” Margaret Mead

Let's promote the idea of direct democracy - together.
Citizens should have the right to initiate referenda - the procedure must be fair and the result must be binding. If you want to spread this idea in also in your country, you are welcome to join our network. Here you find some ideas how to act.

Before you start – create your vision
You need a clear political vision. Write it down. Your idea for the future provides you with the energy you will need to get things done today. We must keep our focuse on the vision, not for an end in itself (sometimes this seems to be hard). The goal determines the structure and not the other way around. You begin to develop your strategy: a credible and convincing way to get closer towards your vision. Afterwards you start the work.

Take your Time
Direct Democracy takes time. Changing the political system and transferring power from politicians to the people is surely a project for more than one generation. Be in the right place at the right time, feel where there is energy in your society and use it, but never leave your principles and your main topic.
