From April to June 2022, I was the intern for the European Public Sphere Project at Democracy International. My main responsibilities surrounded public outreach, be it helping set up and organise Europe-Dome-Events or creating various Social Media campaigns. Further tasks included helping with translations and supporting other DI initiatives in various ways.

DI always provided an efficient working-environment, be it online or in person. The team-meetings were an essential part of this. They enabled good and easy communication, provided an overview of schedules and gave insights into projects beyond my horizon. This also meant that you were always kept up-to-date in all matters.

Throughout, communication was excellent. The team was open, welcoming and kind and always approachable for any kind of question. Even as an intern, I felt appreciated and as though my work and input was valued. The input provided taught me a lot about working at an NGO and even beyond this potential career field.

I truly value my time at Democracy International. I learned a lot, got to meet many new exciting people and now have a better idea of what my career aspirations are.
