People, issues, methods - Happening for our democratic culture

12-05-2017

...if the revolution does not happen first in the people, all outer revolution will fail. Man has to conquer the inner space first”

(Joseph Beuys)

How can we put people at the center of decision-making? How to promote a culture of dialogue and participation? How can we open up paths of activism through art? 'People, issues, methods - Happening for our democratic culture' seeks to address all these questions throughout a three-day program.

The conference is set to take place from 19 to 21 May and will address the following themes:

  • Imbalance and restoration directions: Lectures, presentations, roundtables and research findings.
  • Initiatives, new forms: Where can citizens get their power back?
  • Rebooting democracy through Art?Worx!!"

When? 19 - 21 May 2017

Where? Budapest, Hungary

Participation: The program is invitation only, as the number of participants is limited. If you would like to participate, please get in touch with us.

The working language is Hungarian, although we provide translation for the German presenters, and most of our participants speak English. We support friendly, semi-professional translation during the day.
